Google Launches The New Asynchronous AdSense ad Code

If you’re publishing AdSense ads on your blogs or websites, you may want to use the asynchronous ad code instead to improve your website’s performance and latency and provide better user experience. 

According to google, the advantage of the asynchronous code is that it's guaranteed never to get in the way of other parts of your web page loading.
